"Yeah, okay," said Renfield. He had to admit, Padd's plan, while destructive, was pretty sound. "Well, carry on then," he said. "Anything else you need from me?"

"Just to organize the transport to Orwell for tomorrow," Padd answered. "You may want to leave now, there's likely to be a huge inferno once I get clear of this place."

"I'll do as you say," Renfield said, habitually giving a salute. "Mind if I get a few things out of my office before you blow this place up?" He had few personal effects he actually wanted to save: most of it was just what he considered "props," various items intended to make the office seem more like it was the workplace of a hare. But nonetheless, he did have one or two small things he wished to save, not the least of which was his extra contact lenses and accompanying cosmetics.

"OK, but be quick," nodded Padd.
She moved over to a window, and found a small pipe running along the length of the wall that stood above the railroad depot and face away from the street. Smashing the pipe open, the gas began to hiss out.
Padd plumbed up the pipe with the plastic explosive, and waited for Renfield to collect his things.

A mere few moments later, Renfield scurried back into view carrying a small cardboard box containing a few of his personal effects, and most of the items in the box consisted of his toad-themed belongings. Unlike the cosmetics, these were not terribly necessary, but Renfield could not and would not run the risk of them not getting completely destroyed in the explosion and being discovered by investigators. As he passed Padd in the hallway on his way out, Renfield said, "I can't believe I'm even consenting to this."

"Well, you'd better believe it," Padd answered. "Because it isn't exactly going to be just popping a balloon."
She pulled out a small timer from her pocket, and adjusted it so they had enough time to evacuate before the building exploded, and gently placed it onto the plastic explosive.
"Come on, let's go!" she barked, running downstairs as fast as she could.

"Ooooh," grumbled Renfield, turning and running after her, "you're crazy! You're ansolutely crazy!"

"Perhaps I am," Padd called back. "But at least there's some logic to it!"
Soon, she and Renfield were close to the emergency exit on the stairwell that would lead out to the street, but time was ticking away fast.

Renfield reached the stairwell first and opened it for Padd. "After you," he said a bit breathlessly, actually grinning.

Padd just grinned slyly and bolted out of the door as fast as she could without her disguise falling off.

Renfield then hurriedly followed after her, ready to grab her disguise should it fall off since he knew that unlike him, Padd's mammal facade was not permanently attached via surgery.

Padd didn't notice Renfield trying to help her, but instead glanced over at her watch, counting down the seconds, when...
BOOOMMMM!!!!!
The thundering explosion that followed set the entire building ablaze within minutes as the gas was swallowed up by the flames. It was like watching a drinks bottle burst open when it had been shaken so much.

As soon as they got outside, Renfield grabbed Padd and shoved her to the ground, prostrating himself on top of her as the building exploded massively behind them, flaming debris raining all around them.

As the inferno continued, the amount of debris soon slowed down, and Padd looked up at Renfield atop of her.
"Now you're speaking my language." she sniggered playfully, shooting him a wink.

Renfield slowly opened his eyes and turned to look back at the ruined, burned-out husk that had once been the UAC Offices. He sighed, shaking his head. Upon hearing Padd's words however his eyes widened and he turned to look back at her with an astonished expression on his face that quickly turned into a look of embarrassment.
