I knew of the modern Union Jack, but I didn't know he stretched back to WW1! Thanks, Brian!

Funny how a talk on Martians instantly switched to superheroes!
And people say I talk too much about Chuck Bodgers!

There is only so much I can say about a film that I've never watched. Anyone read the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen version?
Never seen it, never want to. They get Oracle about right, but the rest...
The Birds of Prey comic is quite readable.
Edit: Hah! I just read the TV tome (anyone else noticed how since they changed the format their site is much harder to use?) description of the episode with Lady Shiva. Even at her peak no way could Barbra Gordon fight Shiva. I almost wrote 'rofl!' for the first time ever when I saw that.

Not really. Oracle coordinates superhero activity in Gotham, and Huntress (who is completely different to the version in the Birds of Prey series) was closest to where Batman fell. That particular section would have worked just as well with Nightwing. Or Anarky, for that matter. Canary doesn't feature.

But in one way or another they were except for the 3rd member. I'm not that really much of a collector of the batman series since I dont have any decent comic books store nearby that sells comics for reasonable prices What do you mean by huntress being the closest to where batman fell?

I'm not a very big fan of Batman, but I hold nothing against him and I respect peoples' views in this thread.

When Batman was chasing Catwoman and Hush cut his line he fell into Crime Alley. Huntress (Helena Rosa Bertinelli) was the closest Gotham vigilante and so was dispatched to help him. Superman, Lois Lane and Perry White show up in Hush and I know for a fact that it wasn't a Superman book.
