Maybe, but I don't make Deadeyes' decisions for her, I just pass on her messages. It might be that she wants to deal with the problems herself.

It never really occurred to ask me, as I didn't want to upset her further if I was getting too personal.

NEW MESSAGE Deadeye is mourning as her family ate Roast Duck a few days ago, and it has upset Deadeye a great deal. Because she's a vegetarian, or simply because it was duck? -Rygar

Because it was duck.
She hasn't told me if she's vegetarian or not, but she is upset about it.
I feel her pain as I, myself, am a vegetarian.

Another insulting letter has arrived, much to Deadeyes' disgust.
How much longer is this going to go on?

Until her family can get her off BoH, but I hope not. But honestly why cry over roast duck? Not unless it was MEANT to hurt her

Deadeye cares a lot about animals, and so do I. To see them killed purely for flesh is disgusting in my opinion.

I care about animals as well. I care about them alot. My sisters and I rescue as many as we can. We volunteer with the humane society and work with the ASPCA as often as humanly possible, but a line must be drawn. Okay, so killing animals just for meat upsets you. Alright, but one must realize that these animals are bred for this. They are treated as humanely as possible. I realize that does not console must, and I respect that. I really do. I have plenty of friends that are vegans for that very reason, and when I have them over, I do my level best to observe their preferences and refrain from using meat products in my entertaining dishes. But mourning... because her family ate roast duck seems more than a little over the line. I honestly doubt they did it specifically to hurt feelings. As long as she lives in her parent's house, she really doesn't have a say, in my opinion. I don't like certain foods, foods my mother ADORES. When she cooks it, instead of mourning, I ask if there's anything else to eat, and then prepare something for myself.
As for these letters, some people just aren't mature and don't know when to stop. Let's hope everyone involved grows up.

Just got a PM from deadeye. IT WAS MEANT TO HURT HER What? Her family eating duck was meant to hurt her? That's not very nice of the family. I can't imagine many families that would DO something like that. It just makes little sense to me.

I am going to lock this thread in the next 24 hours, as we are operating on conjecture and assumptions, and we're not getting information directly from Deadeye. If you want to talk to Deadeye, please PM her. As far as I can tell, she and her family may have issues that cannot, and should not, be solved or discussed on a fandom Internet board. I do not want sensitive personal issues discussed on a public forum, especially since we have limited information.
