He grinned seeing his patient awaken. He pressed a button on a small speaker on the wall beside the observation window, and spoke into it. "Kaptain Staan," he said, "this is Professor Wartmon. Do you remember me?"

"Wartmon? Yes. Of course. Would you mind telling me why I'm here?"

"Well, long story short, you've been a werewolf for a few days and we've had to keep you strapped down and sedated," replied Wartmon. "You've only now reverted to your normal state, thanks to my treatment."

Kalsijj gently stepped into the room, and bent over to see if Innes was awake...which she wasn't.
Leaving the papers on the table, Kalsijj decided to help himself to a biscuit before leaving.
I wonder, he thought. If Railles' talk about the love potion was right? I just hope she doesn't contract an illness or anything like that when she wakes up.

As Kalsijj reached the door Innes snored very loudly.
Staan realised that he wasn't quite thinking straight.
"I... changed? I... I remember... Frankenstoat! Have you been able to find him? He was in my room."

Kalsijj shivered as Innes snored, almost dropping the biscuit from his hand. Moving slower, Kalsijj made his way to the door, making sure he didn't step on anything that might arouse her.
I am really hoping that the potion doesn't make me her love-toy. he thought as he moved towards the door at a snails' pace.

At the mention of Frankenstoat, Wartmon cast a glance to the jar containing a brain that sat on a nearby worktable. He turned back to the viewing window and then spoke into the intercom. "I'm afraid Frankenstoat is quite dead. You killed him in your bestial form, Kaptain, and I extracted his brain from his corpse."

"I did? I was able to touch him?"
Staan compares this to his first encounter with Frankenstoat, then mentally shrugs. If they have his brain, then for whatever reason Frankenstoat's protective technologys didn't work.
"Professor, is there any chance you could provide me with some clothing?"

"Of course," Wartmon said, having forgotten in the moment that Staan was completely stark naked. He pointed at one of the Stormtoads in the room with Staan. "You! Give the Kaptain your uniform!"
The Stormtoad nodded and, handing his maser rifle to one of the other toads, quickly stripped down to his boxer shorts and handed Staan his uniform. "This will have to do for now," said Wartmon.

Staan takes the uniform.
"Thank you. You are relieved."
He puts it on. It doesn't quite fit -Staan is in considerably better physical shape that the conscript- but he feels better in uniform.
"What is my prognosis?"

"Difficult to say for certain," Wartmon replied as the now-uniformless Stormtoad returned to the line of other Stormtoads and was handed his rifle, standing at attention in nothing but his boxers, undershirt and battle helmet.
"Frankenstoat gave you a bad case of lycanthropy as you know, and it seems as though my mariphasa extract formula has reverted you to normal for now. It stifled your first transformation, if you'll remember, and the only reason it hasn't worked for the past few days is because Dr. Croaker and I have had you on a strong sedative feed. It was Private Berns' idea to cut the feed, and lo and behold, the treatment actually worked. But I won't know for how long, hence why I've got you locked in there with Stormtoads."

Having successfully gotten out of Innes' room without disturbing her, Kalsijj decided to check in on the Professor and try and make some progress on the murders.

Staan looked at his hands, as if searching for visible signs of his transformation.
"I see. And how long do you wish me to remain here?"

Entering the lift, Kalsijj slowly descended into the laboratory, and immediately noticed Staan behind the screen. Knowing his place, Kalsijj decided not to disturb them for fear of ruining something.

"For a day, at least," said Wartmon. "We need to be absolutrely certain that Frankenstoat's serum has been purged from your system."
Meanwhile, Dr. Croaker spotted Kalsijj and wandered over to him. "Can I help you?" he asked in his small voice.
