The medic has finished removing glass slivers. He offers to put a dressing on the wound but Staan waives him away. He gets up to take a closer look at Tabyius.
"I think I'm safe. How did this happen to you?"

"... well it was years ago and... haahaha... sorry you asked how... hmmm, well i guess i can tell you," Tabyius says looking calm, "Come closer."

"I wouldn't advise that, Captain," Wartmon says, then he addresses the strange creature. "Who are you and where did you come from? No, wait, scratch that, scratch that. More importantly, how did you get into this facility, let alone know it even existed?"

Cryer and Rusk stare blankly at this bizarre entity, while Wartmon simply raises an eyebrow.
At this point however, the lab technician from before enters carrying a clipboard. "Professor," he announces, "I have the results of the blood tests, and-- Egads! What is that?!" He points at Tabyius.
"Nothing you need concern yourself with," Wartmon said, snatching the clipboard from the technician and shooing him from the room, "get back to work giving the mammals malignant tumors or something." As soon as the technician is gone, Wartmon looks over the sheet of paper attached to the clipboard.
"Well," he said, "the two, uh, mammals came back negative, but as for you Captain Staan, it seems you did get infected by a virulent strain of Lycanthropium, a rather nasty serum developed by our good friend Dr. Frankenstoat in the early years of his career."

"SEEEEE... I TOLD you that nothing good comes from him. I TOLD you." Tabyius says to Staan, but looking as the meat sna... er technician is pushed from the room.

"Oh well. How long will it take you to synthesise the antidote?"

"Not long," Wartmon replied. "I have merely to retrieve my samples of mariphasa extract."
"Mariphasa?" says Cryer. "What's that?"
"Mariphasa Lupina Lumina," Wartmon responds, "the phosphorescent wolf flower, which grows only under the light of a full moon. Or under the light of one of our moon lamps. It's the only known antidote for lycanthropy, if it's administered in time."

"You know, before today, I didn't even know what a werewolf was. Now not only do I know that it is possible to completely transform one life form into another by means of a virus, but that the Empire knows about it and that we know how to reverse the process."
He straightens, draws his pistol and points it at Tabyius.
"This is nothing personal, you understand. The fact you have been a victim of Frankenstoat almost moves me to compassion. But you have infiltrated a Toad Empire secret research facility and I'm afraid that I am going to have to put you under guard."

Almost on cue, a squad of Stormtoads rushes in. Cryer and Rusk quietly duck off to the side and out of the way, while Professor Wartmon sighs. "It's one of those days," he mutters.

"Come quietly and you will not be harmed."
Staan turns to the leader of the Stormtoads.
"Sergeant. I cannot order you to take this person into custody. I can merely recommend that it would be prudent to do so. I would like to make it clear, however, that if he is not well treated there will be consequences for you. Am I clear?"

Through a radio in the machinery, Wing Commander Sludge begins to speak.
"Professor, you had best hurry, as it is approximately 20 minutes until moonrise."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep your shirt on," grumbles Wartmon, beginning to become extremely frustrated by the sudden avalanche of problems he has found himself heaped with. He leaves the examination room, but returns a moment later with a large syringe filled with a greenish liquid of some kind. "All right, Captain," he says, approaching Staan and pushing the syringe's plunger, squirting some of the liquid out in order to purge all the air bubbles, "let me have your arm."

"Quietly? Really. I think you should be more concerned with your health... both in body and in mind. You may also want to concern yourself with the fact that Frankenstoat decided that you would be good to change," as Tabylus is talking a slight hum is felt, and as it continues the stormtoads lower their weapons and seem almost like they are watching a really good episode of toad TV, seeming almost hypnotized.
"I don't think they will be any good to you now... frell, I can't even do that anymore. Enjoy toad TV that is," Tabylus says as it takes a seat over near the door, "I think you should have thought about using something other then them to 'subdue' me other wise I'll just stick around...."

Staan looks at the stormtoads. Weak minded fools... He keeps his pistol pointed at Tabyius and roles up his sleeve.
"Never got into Toad T.V. myself. Rots the brain. Professor, we're beneath 100 meters of rock in a shielded laboratory. Even if there is something about light reflected from the moon that triggers the transformation, how is any going to reach me here?"
