Thank you, Psyko.
In answer to your question, Koosh, Captain Kremmen (full name Elvis Brandenburg Kremmen) was a sci-fi comedy series made by the late Kenny Everett and aired weekly on his TV show The Kenny Everett Video Show and mimcked Star Wars, Blakes 7 and various other sci-fis.

That may be your view and possibly others, but this is a RPG board and the point is to make characters adn have fun with them. I am seeing people griping about other characters and that is taking form the fun. IF you don't like ones character, then don't have anything to do with it. That simple. No offense but seeing as how we are moderators, I think we have a say what's allowed on the board. Psyko, you seem to be under the impression that Norris created the character of the Doctor. To his credit, he doesn't try and say he did and admits he's taking a character from another series and dropping him into the BOH universe. Whether or not this should be allowed is up to us; we can't tell you what kinds of characters you can create.... but we can say whether or not you can import ones from other shows. So far, we've been pretty much letting you guys run wild and do whatever as long as there's no OOC bickering, so you can't accuse us of being tyrannical.

You know what, I do know who Doctor Who is and have been watching it for a few years. ANd as for saying that people are being tyrants, I haven't said that anywhere. What i said was that one person was griping about another person's character and saying that the race shouldn't be allowed in the RP board even though teh race was even allowed in teh series. Now if you and brian want me out of here, then say so and get it over with.

And if Psyko goes, so do I!
We respect that you are the moderators, Koosh, and it is true that I did not create this carnation of The Doctor, but Psyko is right as well. He did not and has not called you tyrannical.
You have said yourself that everything is OK so long as there isn't any bickering, yet your arguement about the Doctors' presence in the Aniverse HAS started bickering!

The purpose of this page is to support Bucky O'Hare themed role-play. Doctor Who is not Bucky O'Hare themed role-play. If you want to persuade Rygar to set up a Other Role-play page on this board, then great. I'd join. But the Doctor doesn't belong in the aniverse any more than the Smurfs belong in Buck Rodgers.

Well, I don't see a problem with that, but how would "other" be defined?
I've already sent away The Doctor in Aodh, accidentally taking Adder with him. I introduced him in the first place because both Doctor Who and Bucky are sci-fi. There's no way that they can be singled out from science fiction into things like "universe" and "aniverse".

Sci-fi isn't that broad a tent. If a wider universe is shown at any point you have a fairly good idea of whether the two can coexist. Willy is a complete surprise in episode 1, which gives a strong hint that creatures of human appearance (i.e. including Gallifreyans) are completely unknown. The different possibilities of advanced physics are also a clue. It wouldn't make sense, for example, to have Star Wars and Star Trek overlapping. This is in part due to the different faster-than-light travel methods, and in part due to the lack of the force in Star Trek. Of course, for a joke, anything goes.If pressed for precise limitations, I would say that all characters should be anthropomorphised earth animals, and either original aniverse creations or Toad Wars cannon characters. Ideally, few would be magic users and none would be super heroes.

Now if you and brian want me out of here, then say so and get it over with. I really think you're overreacting. But if you want to storm out of here in a huff then that's your business. Also, I should add that for all this bluster coming from you, I haven't once said I flat-out decided not to allow the character. But at the mention of the mere possibility I might not, you guys got all defensive. Sheesh.

I wouldn't worry about it Koosh, Character is gone. As for me overreacting, why don't you point out where i said you were being tyranical? Hmm? I made a simple statemeant, that applied to everyone and you jump down my throat, claiming i was calling you tyrnical.

Executive decision: Any character a player wants to create is allowed, though really, this is for Bucky O'Hare roleplaying. Try to keep it restricted to the aniverse, and only create an other-dimensional character if it serves a purpose that no other character can serve.
While I don't frequent this board, it seems to me that Brian and Koosh are doing good jobs, especially since I didn't give them any direction. I accept responsiblity for the existence of this argument.
Basically, this board should be used for fun. Introducing random characters doesn't really reduce the fun factor, but players acting as jerks and ruining the fun in-game for other players certainly does. That's what moderation should be on the lookout for. Fortunately, you're all well-behaved :)
If you want to discuss this further with me, just PM me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Y'know, for someone who claims I'm twisting their words around, you're one to talk. I accused you of calling me tyrannical; I merely said, conjecturely, that no one could. There's a difference. EDIT: I came in a bit late with this, but I just felt I had to say this. Try actually reading what I post and not always automatically assuming it's some kind of attack on you.

Name: John Criff Gender: Male Species: Goat Age: 50 Affiliation: S.P.A.C.E. Position/Occupation: Gunner Physical Description: He has slightly greyish fur because of his age and also the end of his left horn is broken. He is short but quite stocky (pretty tough for his age.) He wears a jumpsuit in the U.A.C. colours with tough boots and fingerless gloves. He also has a belt/holster and pouches around his right leg. Biography: Growing up in a poor area he had a tough childhood so as soon as the war started he joined up to escape poverty. Originally a space marine John took part in many of the very early battles against the Toads and has the scars to prove it. Years of constant combat made him seemingly cold and unfriendly but this is not strictly true. Deep down because he has lost so many friends on the battlefield he doesn’t make new ones easily in fear of losing them as well, anyone who is lucky enough to be called a friend will find that John will always watch there back. Developing a hatred for Toads he refuses to retire from active service so tries to keep as fit as possible. Due to a recent lung problem he has developed (probably not helped by his love of cigars) John is now off the front line and in the gunners seat, he didn’t like it at first but now he has accepted that he cant keep up with the younger marines on the battle field so now he likes nothing better than lighting up a cigar and blasting away at a squadron of Double-Bubbles. He still doesn’t pass up a chance to fight the toads on the ground either so he always keeps his heavy pistol and fighting knife on him. Voice in Mind: Lee Marvin
