Wendy smiled and sipped more of her drink.

A few moments later, their dinners were delievered.
"SO what did you figure out from the movies?" SHar asked as he ate.

"Well," Wendy began after swallowing some of her food. "It can't be the genre, as both were action films. It's very probable that it could be the strength of a storyline,"
She ate another forkful of food. "Pirates of Planet Frion had quite a thick plot. The prologue gave us a taster on what exactly was going on, and we more or less realized what was happening as the film progressed. Return to the Inferno was nothing more than two people running down some stairs. If I wanted to see that, I would've held a fire drill at Genus Control!"

"True, but there was one thing i did like about the Return to teh Inferno." SHar said tapping his fork on the plate gently. "It showed that in teh end, things don't always work out, unlike a lot of other movies.. Despite the fact it was a pretty boring movie."

"That is true as well," nodded Wendy. "It might even be the popularity of the actors, which is why its' so much easier to write a story for a book rather than film."

"Actors have some to do with the movie's success, but very little actually." Shar said after swallowing some food. "It comes down to presentation adn storyline. Books leave a lot to the imagination, where movies show what happens."

"That is true, but there is always some director who will ruin the film by defying the original. Do you remember The Inferior Five?"
OOC: The Inferior Five were a superhero group from DC Comics who were quite pathetic, a bit like how Blunderbirds is to Thunderbirds. The Inferior Five were:
AWKWARDMAN DUMB BUNNY WHITE FEATHER THE BLIMP MERRYMAN

"Yes, but when you become so used to a classic, it irritates you when someone tries to spoil the image by redesigning everything. Since when was Awkwardman a bisexual, for heavens' sake?"

"You're telling me. WHen I wrote teh SILVER TIARA, it was a romance/adventure that people loved. I even heard toads loved it. WHen they made the movie...." Shar said adn drifted off in mid sentence.
He took a sip of wine and shook his head.
"I should have never gave them permission to make a movie out of it." HE mumbled.

Shar shook his head sadly.
"Movies are watched some on Atlantis, but we prefer opera." he said and handed back the paper. "WIth titles like that, you can see why too."

"Exactly," Wendy nodded, replacing the note in her pocket. "Just a bunch of people more concerned about making money instead of understanding the real basis of stories."
