Sonic X: Girl Power - Part 3
Chapter One
"Aww, what's the matter?" Alicia mocked in a sneering voice as Amy clambered back to her feet. "Did the wittle baby faww down?" Amy wiped away a trickle of blood from her mouth, snarling angrily at the squirrel standing over her. The hit to the jaw had done it. For Amy, the gloves were now off, and she pulled out the Pika-Pika Hammer, taking angry swipes at the squirrel.
All three vessels had docked simultaneously in the black-coloured space station that hovered directly atop of the invisible rift between all three universes. Somehow, the station's hangar appeared to have one entrance jutting out into each different dimension, yet there was no physical distinction between them.
That was not to say, however, that people from different dimensions got on well, and the very moment Alicia and Amy had made contact, a fight had ensued, with a supporting fight taking place between Fiona and Rouge. It wasn't until Sally smashed an empty glass vial lying on a nearby worktop that everyone finally stopped and took notice.
"If you've quite finished, girls," she hissed angrily through her teeth. "We do actually have some worlds to save, and your squabbling isn't going to help much!"
"So what do you suggest we do, princess?" asked Fiona mockingly. "Do you want us all to kiss and make up?"
"Just call a truce for now until we get what we came for and go, OK?"
"Whatever," Alicia grunted, and reluctantly shook hands with Amy, squeezing her hand tightly as if to signify her reluctance to the whole thing. Satisfied, Sally now turned to the newcomers, who had remained quiet and curious the whole time they were there.
"Are you girls in on this?" she asked them. Sonica answered the question on their behalf.
"We're all in this together, whoever you are," she told the squirrel. "We're not leaving,"
A smile spread across Sally's face, as she led the procession down the only corridor leading from the hangar.
The battle was about to commence.
Chapter Two
The progress of the girls had been silently detected by the security monitors placed along the walls of the gleaming, metal corridor. A pair of emerald eyes watched them with a mixture of disgust and dread, and the lips suddenly changed from a smirk to a scowl.
"You fools!" the lips hissed angrily. "Why do you wish to reclaim what I am trying to save you from?" As if in response, a gloved hand hovered over a small keyboard and tapped a few keys...
In the corridor, a loud grinding noise filled the air, forcing the women crusaders to shield their ears from the din. It wasn't until Rouge had looked up when everyone noticed that two reinforced metal plates were sliding down on either side of the corridor, sealing them off from the rest of the space station.
"Oh, no you don't!" growled Sonica angrily. She zoomed across to the other plate, appearing like a blur to the others...just in time for it to slam firmly shut. The girls were now completely cut off, isolated in that one tiny section of corridor.
"Got any more bright ideas, princess?" Fiona asked bitterly as she crossed her arms and stared icily at the squirrel.
"Out of the way, girls," a voice said. "This is a job for a real woman," The voice belonged to Nails the Echidna - the femverse's answer to Knuckles. She tossed her red dreadlocks to one side as she strided towards the metal plate nearest Sonica.
In the space of an eyeblink, Nails had thrust a hard punch at the door, causing a large indentation. The entire plate collapsed to the floor with a heavy clang, having been forced from its position by the blow of the punch.
"And who says we girls are all soft?" Nails smirked aloud, cracking her knuckles with glee. She gestured for the others to pass through, led by an impressed Sally, as they continued towards the centre of the station.
Chapter Three
At the monitor, the figure grew desperate. The only non-lethal booby trap had just been destroyed by the echidna, and the mastermind dared not to use any of the more deadly traps against the people the figure wished to protect. Electrified floor panels, cyanide gas, overhead laser cannons - all waiting for orders that would never come.
There was yet another hard blow at the door into the control room, which too fell to the floor with a sharp, reverberating thud. Nails rubbed her knuckles gently as the girls stepped in, too shocked for words at what they saw around them.
On the two walls between the computer terminal and the door were all of the men of the three dimensions, chained up by their wrists. Where they wore clothes, they had been stripped to the waist, and every last man there showed signs of heavy blows to the head and chest, and of being badly burned. It was like some twisted attempt to resurrect the Spanish Inquisition.
"What?!" the mastermind spun around in her chair, facing the group. In the dim light overhead, the figure was revealed to be a female cougar, dressed in a uniform entirely of silver. Her hair was ruby-red and fell to the shoulders, and at her waist was a large sword kept within a gilted scabbard. Her eyes peeled back in shock at the sight of the party before her.
"What have you done?!" thundered Amy, on seeing Sonic's bloodied and barely conscious body. "How dare you hurt Sonic!"
"I don't see why you should care about it so much," the figure stood up. "It's only a male,"
"Since when have you had the right to start persecuting them?" snapped Fiona angrily. "That's my job!"
"You fools!" the cougar hissed. "You poor, empty-headed fools! You have been around men so often that you think them to be actually worth something! You may like them now, but just you wait! The moment you have your guard down, then you'll all see the true colours of the male gender! They'll run off without a word of farewell for someone even more stupid than yourselves, taking all of your valuables with them, and leaving you only with hefty debts made by themselves!"
"Whoa, whoa. Let me get this straight," Sonica mumbled after the cougar had finished her lecture. "You're saying that you're out to get every man in existence because you got dumped by one of them?"
"That's one sore loser," Rouge muttered quietly to herself, looking at the cougar in disgust.
"If you knew the pain it caused, then perhaps you would understand," the cougar continued. "But no matter how hard you beg me, I shall never let these...things go," she gestured idly to the boys chained up across the walls. "And if you try to take them away," At this point, the cougar drew her sword, which resembled a scimitar. "Then I shall be forced to take measures,"
"OK, girls," Amy called to the others, brandishing the Pika-Pika Hammer once more. "Let's show this conceited b***h how us sane women fight!"
Epilogue: Three Days Later...
Mac cast his good eye up at the night sky on Fembius, gazing out into the empty void of space where the space station had once hovered. That same space station where his chest had been used as a scratching post by the insane cougar, and his right arm had been broken in her over-enthusiastic punches.
Like the other boys, the entire fight had been a mere blur to him. The girls had rushed up on the cougar like a wave of screaming banshees, brandishing whatever weapon they had to hand. A few people ended up with some bad cuts from the scimitar, but...
"Hey," Mac turned around slowly, feeling his black eye throb slightly as he turned his head. Shada was standing at the cave entrance, walking up to his side. Her left elbow was bandaged up, and seemed to match Mac's sling for his right arm.
"How's your elbow?" the squirrel asked. Amidst the fight, he definitely knew that Shada had taken a beating from the cougar.
"It'll heal," Shada murmured, briefly touching the bandage. She turned to look up at the night sky. "Is it still there?"
"No," the squirrel shook his head slightly. "Looks like Sonica and the others did their work," Yes, the work that had been agreed upon when Amy had beaten the cougar into submission. Surprisingly, that was the most vivid of Mac's memories of the incident. Even when the cougar was down, Amy still continued to hit her with her hammer, screaming "B***H!" at the top of her lungs until the others pulled her away.
The cougar had been taken back to Mobius by Sally and the others, where she would be taken to a prominent asylum on the planet for her misandry. The Anti-Mobians had quickly vanished when the fight was over, leaving it to the others to clear up the mess.
And now, that mess had been cleared. It was amazing what a few tons of napalm could do in just a few seconds, Mac thought, as he turned to face Shada.
"Is your arm any better?" the hedgehog asked.
"A little, but it's my eye that hurts more than anything, especially when I turn my head," The hedgehog let a gentle hand stroke Mac's left cheek, softly rubbing a thumb over a bruise.
"Your bruises are clearing up nicely," she purred, but then frowned slightly. "Mac, why are you blushing?" The squirrel mumbled incoherently for a few moments, trying to think of a good excuse, but he instead found the hedgehog's paw grasping his own.
"Come on," she said finally. "You need some rest if you're gonna get better,"
Though he didn't say so, Mac was beginning to think that it wasn't the rest that was making him feel better...
THE END...AS IF!
