Im sure most of you remember Continuity Studios releasing this CGI teaser a few years back:
So whatever happened to the project? Or why has there not even been any new comics or licensed merchandise in forever (besides the Manga re-release)? Has anyone had the chance to chat with Neal Adams about it at any conventions?
If funding is/was the issue they should consider using something like Kickstarter. Who knows, maybe it would be a resounding success? But I worry Bucky is slowly fading into obscurity as younger generations probably have no idea who the character is.. what do you think?

I got in line to see Neal Adams at a convention a few years ago. I asked him, and he said he is still trying to get a new Bucky project off the ground. He didn't seem to want to discuss specifics, though. I imagine the main problem is getting investor funding. Kickstarter is a good thought, though I imagine there can't be too many Bucky fans, unfortunately; at least, not enough to generate the thousands and thousands a decent project would require.

Thats a shame.. I would be content with a direct to video release as well. Or a rebooted/spinoff comic series of some sort.

I wouldn't mind backing a Kickstarter project! I was really disappointed to see this was all there was a few years ago when I found it too.

I think now would be the best time in years for Adams to be pitching around Bucky. Although action is kind of dead when it comes to animation (networks only want comedy), I think he could frame it as a property to cash in on the coming Star Wars bonanza.
Seriously, next year Star Wars is going to explode back onto the scene, and Disney is the only studio who has announced some kind of programming to cash in on that (Star Wars Rebels). He should be offering Bucky O'Hare to WB, Nick, CN, Hasbro, Dreamworks, ANYONE, as a property that could serve as a funnel into that trough of money that's going to hit come next fall.

I think this should be put back on the cards. Look at the new Nick TMNT show, why can't Bucky O Hare have a series like that? It would be awesome!

Or if hes more of a strictly comic guy, and used to have someone else to deal with the animation side? I dont know. But you are right now would be the time to push hard.

From what I've heard, he might not have been immediately involved with the day to day creative process but he would make extensive notes on the design end. I assume the same applies when it comes to the scripts as well. Everything needed his stamp of approval.
I've always wondered why he doesn't create new Bucky O'Hare comic media. As I understand, they rest of the comic was actually written. If only Neal Adams knew a world class artist who could draw it for free... Hmmm...
But seriously, I think that would be a decent way to generate SOME traffic to the pay-section of his site, and doing ANYTHING to raise the profile of Bucky would help when selling it to a studio.
