Powree wishing for a Game Cube and pics, Hush running about the net looking for anything Krystal. It looks like the both of you really put the Fan in Fanatics, but I am sure Rare appreciates the support. You are not alone, seems there are a lot of fans out there both collecting pics and fics or creating them. Max (the artists that did many of those Artica pics) drew a pic of Krystal in a sketch book that I wish I could have got a scan of. When I saw it I was just in awe, what a master of the line. He drew her from memory, tattoos and all. I will just have to bug him for it next I see him. Comet puts all his good stuff on CD and all you find on his site is "..."? Ya Powree, I know EXACTLY what you found at the site, and don't think his CD's are all that much cleaner. What he has on his site is not bad really, an example of the whole to get you to buy his CD's. He may be a bit sick and from a different world (Japan) but he is not stupid. You must have seen the cost of his CD's by now and how many he's got. All five of his CD's would run some serious coin, as they were $50 U.S.D. each last I checked. See something you like on this site, you might be inclined to snag his CD's and pay his bills for him, sounds smart to me. Comet does not only do CD's, let me tell ya. He's done covers for comics, comics and several guest or feature pages. One such comic (if you can call page after page of pin up pics a comic) that he contributes to is called "Hit the Beach". One pic I sent Hush was the cover of one issue, and I may as well post it here to keep you from turning blue, and also because its cute. Looking over Master's armour and Krystals' armour? No contest on which one I like. Krystal's new armour really does suit her, it really complements her two luscious, large, round...eyes. Its always about the eyes, go on an put Jenny and Krystal side by side, you might see a similarity there (vulpines have almond shaped eyes just as cats do, so that is another point, to bad the game does not reflect it). Is it a good idea to grab up a Game Cube for the up-coming Star Fox? Well, I don't know, I will wait until the game comes out and is reviewed before making a chunk-o-change decision like that. It seems Rare was bought up by the evil empire, Microsoft, and so I don't know if their usual butt-kicking style will survive. Offer them up a prayer tonight, for Krystal's sake. I really hope Microsoft buying Rare was an untruth told to me. Powree already did some fan art and Hush already saw it. Okay, you two plotting evil and holding out on me? Did not even post notice about it here, in the Star Fox thread? Alack, alack, am I to forever be dejected and forlorn? Is it that Powree perceives mistakenly a borne malice on my behalf, or be it that Hush, now in the full knowledge of his requests finds his essence vibrate with trepidation, all cumulating thusly that I be denied? Alack, indeed, alack... Okay! Piccy time! You think I like Comet's work eh, Hush? You can keep thinking about that while you clean the drool out of your keys ;D Nice to see some enthusiasm around here again.

Though the cheap-free kind... Maybe we ought to change the topic as well, as Comet's work is also filling up the space lol... No, we're just teasing you about that Krystal pic. Actually it wasn't good, so don't listen to Hush up there. ;D I'll give you its link, so don't go mad okay? XD It's in my Dev Art page, so probably only Hush saw it there. www.deviantart.com/deviation/11743155/

Ahhhhh, you don't WANT to shell out a small fortune for a few CD's eh? Understandable. Don't get me wrong either, I don't mind sharing pics but you of all people here should know just what Comet is "capable" of. I could send you a veritable wack-load of his work....but really, just which ones anyone would want is a hard guess for me. Even some of his most, uhhhhhh, anatomically accurate pieces can make you stop and go "dayahm, nice work!". So what would I do? Send the pics I would send happily to my own grandma, or every last sewer-dredged one? This sort of choice is rather hard for me because, well, I actually know some of these people, talked with them, and watched them draw some of what I posted. In a few words, I am almost numb to the content now and take a drawing apart looking at its skilful presentation and methodology. I wanted to learn to draw too, then, I wanted to learn what separated the artists that could sell there stuff easy because it was so good from the guys that could draw well, but no one really bought their stuff. Yes indeedly, there are correlations here. I did learn to draw, and colour, all by hand and not to badly either. Then, well, much like our Staff here on the site, I entered school again to see if I could get a degree. Classes took up so much of my time I did not have much left to spare for pencil-work, and my efforts fell by the wayside. One of the last things I ever drew: This was not exactly the last pic I ever worked on, I coloured one more, then never picked up the pencil again. It is most likely the one I feel the best about how it came out. But, once more, as it has nudity (bear breasts) I can't show it here. I did both the pic above and this other, a skunk, about ten years ago. I feel old. At least I did come out with a degree, unlike some other people I got to know who fell short of their goal . As for your work, Powree. I guess I did not find it myself as I looked at your Fan Site, not YOUR site. Ha, silly me, not that I knew the address for it. Not so good you say? I know you read the feedback below just as I did, you might be rather lonely in thinking it was done poorly. You are your own worst critic, others will tend to be impressed by what they cannot do themselves. I thought of my own work once as crude, in compairsion to what some of the people in this thread can do yes. In compairison to almost anyone around me, who can pull of stick-men at best, not so bad at all. At any point where you can show someone a pic you did of a fox, and people don't say something like "That's a really nice mouse" you're doing just fine. You are past that point, you betcha, and you can pull off some very nice stuff. But oh, the time it takes, the time. Always the time. Feelin' old, yup, but I am not that old just yet! Maybe there is time to see if my pencil still works. Ryan Lewis

Powree Lies!!! Her fan art of Krystal is even more drop dead gorgeous than the way Nintendo made her look even though they were the ones who thought of the outfit and Krystal herself and all but still she's Drop Dead Gorgeous! Hmm What if just what if she became a regular in the BoH series? This is just a what if thing.

New art huh? Of my own? Use it or lose it so it is said, and I am sure I am not capable of what I once was. Thinking about it gets nothing done, so maybe I will take up a mechanical pencil and see what I have left soon, just a matter of what sort of topic/subject I could see through to the end. I can still remember clearly putting so much effort into one sheet of paper, its almost silly when I think about it. The two hares up above will give you a look at what was my style, that being to leave out the usual black outline of the pic when colouring. Just a smoothed mass of colours without black for definition and contrast, just like our physical world. This is really shown by the skunk I mentioned, as well as a cougar that was done sometime before it. I know I am not to post anything nasty, or in bad taste. Perhaps I can get away with a link to my own page, of some old pics coloured a decade ago that are "not in poor taste". Both are rather cute in my opinion and beat the living heck out of the two hares above. Okay, here goes. Hope what I do here does not cause any upset. First up is the skunk I mentioned. This has a somewhat funny history. The silver spheres in the back were done with a metallic ink pen made by prismacolour. Thing is, the ink is rather heavy and thick with solvents. I coloured and inked the pic on a plastic clipboard and the solvents leeched through onto the plastic beneath. It appears the plastic dissolved to a degree and then acted like a cement, holding the pic like super glue to the clipboard. I had to scrape the pic off with a metal knife, which did some damage, try as I might to prevent it. End result, one pic with some paper missing in circular patterns on the back and one clipboard with circular scars. You will be able to see the ripple in the paper in those silver spheres if you look close enough. Fair warning, this pic does have some mild nudity although not enough to really offend. Second warning, the pic is rather BIG, so you might have to wait should you choose to view it. www.geocities.com/rglewisus/nara.jpgThe last pic is of a cougar with a rather unfortunate colouring mistake. I started to colour from the tip of the tail, and so got the bands mixed up. White was coloured black, and the black was coloured white, stupid me. End result, a cougar with the tail colouration of a cheetah (white tip). This pic also has some nudity, but less than that of the pic above but also cute. www.geocities.com/rglewisus/tourmaline.jpgSince this IS a star fox thread, another game clip, yay.

Well, I did some dinkering with a photo editor program to shrink the size of the two pics from over 2.5 Meg each to under one(900K ish). They were downloading poorly when I tested it, and this seemed to fix the problem. They are saved as very large files on my computer, mostly as a personal archive of some old stuff I wanted to keep safe in data format. Looking better now anyway, and they both download smoothly so far. I had myself a look around your Dev. Art site after figuring out how to from the link you posted, Powree. Better and better, good to see. I know enough people who continue to draw but don't really improve, same old hat, but you definitely have an upswing. Your line work makes me wonder if you might have interest in the work of another fellow. Are you familiar with the name James M. Hardiman? He is what is called a "technical artist" I think. He employs what I can only call "stupidly thin lines" to produce his work, and its a method I don't commonly see. Not only is he very good at it, he is also one of the ONLY artists that can consistently make me laugh with each piece. His black and white are highly detailed and his colour works are just fantastic. Few of his fellow artists can touch his skill for detail. Like many trying to produce work that will sell, much of it has nudity. This is a mild way to say it, and as is stated about his detail it is sometimes joked his work is "anatomically correct" enough for medical texts. I had the fortune to score a sketch from him, if you can call a piece done entirely with a technical pen a sketch. I was rather pleased to meet the guy that made me laugh till I was red so often, and even got him a candy bar as he worked on my book. It is to my regret that I later find out he is diabetic, and has suffered damage to one of his eyes since. If he loses his sight I will have reason to scream, such a waste it would be. His three most famous characters are the skunk sisters, Lori, Natasha and Onyx. Hush, that pic of the three skunks done by Comet is of these three, done as a cover for a comic sold to help him with his medical bills for his eye. We all pulled together for him, artists to create the comic, and fans to buy it. I will post a little of what I got, so as not to do harm to his ability to sell. First is a section of the sketch I got. Second is a sample of colour art. Last is a single page of one of his comics so that you can see what he has done in the past. Here's to you getting your sight back 100%, and many more years of Skunkworks.

A fan of Comet are you, Powree? I have been thinking about that just recently. There is a way to see Comet, but for you I doubt it would be easy or cheap. Here's the deal, Comet tends to go to two comic conventions a year. One of them is in the U.S. and its coming up FAST. It is the same place I saw him, and you can find the details here: www.furtherconfusion.org/fc2005/Something to think about, no? There is always the one in Japan that he visits, but really, unless you can speak the language I doubt it will be much fun. By the way, from what I can see I would bet you could manage to sell a few pics at such a gathering. The view of the event from a visitor and an artists perspective is quite different though. One sits behind a table in hope for money, the other bounds from table to table spending on whatever catches the eye. Its easy to see which is most fun.

Er... thank you for the suggestion, Ryan... but I live in other country... If I could buy a plane ticket to go to the conventions, I would've bought the CD too lol... Say... maybe I'll just send a letter to him...
