You don't have to attend a convention that Comet is at in order to score his CD's you know. He has an order form on his site where you can have them mailed to you, and the price is the same on the site as it would be at his dealer table. And yes, Powree, I KNOW you live in a different country, as do I. I said it would not be easy or cheap for you to attend and that is what I meant. A flight ticket even from here in Canada to California is not cheap and for you I would expect it to be much worse. One of the reasons Comet only shows once a year on this side of the ocean is because of travel costs. Life may be short, but its not THAT short. Someday maybe, if not this time around, maybe next, or however many years from now you could make it there. At least you know a place now.
$40 a CD is steep, I know. At F.C. there, just this year actually, two paintings that were put up for auction managed to sell for $15,000 each, USD. A lot of money can get thrown around, and so even at that price Comet still manages to make sales. He is the only one that can draw the way he does, so he can ask whatever he likes. You do get a fair number of pics per CD, and I am sure they take a while to produce so maybe its not that bad, it just looks expensive.
Sending him a letter would be nice. However, remember that Comet cant really speak or read anything but his own language. So, unless you can do the same or find a way to translate it for him things could be complicated. Remember me saying that he tended to say "Thank you, thank you very much" to anything said to him he could not understand? He gets a fair amount of complement about his work, so its really a likely response.
As for making this the Comet thread, ya that is almost true. Unfortunately I should not just keep posting his work here, he has CD's for that and its a business for him. Besides, there are not that many pics of his I can actually post here anyway. On the upside for Hush, I just got around it by sending him the pics he wished for, plus a few others that I felt were cute. On the downside, he is probably still cleaning drool out of his keyboard. Like his work or not, you can't deny Comet's style.
Every time I load this page, the Hit the Beach cover above rots my teeth with its sweetness as a scroll down. I even own the issue itself, and still...
Hope you found Hardiman's work to be a pleaser as well. Cute kitty.

Ummmm, nice to see you have some sort of avenue with which you could say a few words to Comet. That being said, you DO understand that in order to send him an e-mail, you have to go back to his site to find his address. Do you think you will make it back from a second trip to "The Island" in one mental piece? Oh, by the way, I think he has a new pic for his splash page, I kinda like it ^ ^. That Comet, always doing something new. You seem to have a thing for the fuzzy creatures he draws, but how about his lizards? It would sortta be my fault that you have not seen one yet right? Have a looky and see what you think: Besides, I had to post something, yes?

I've seen worse, and besides, as a fellow artist, I'm getting used to things like that.... or so I think, anyway.... It'll be my struggle . *drools at the dragon* I wonder if he draws amphibians too... XD And as I venture in his island, I just found out another problem. He won't be able to send it anyway....

You mean...you could not score the CD's even if you hand the $$$? Oh, Powree...I dare say that is rather depressing.
Guess we have to work something out yes?
As for own all five...not exaclty. For one, I own one, my friend who was with me bought a different one. Something like that. So basically, I have access to plenty O' pics even if I don't own all the CD's.
I have over 4,000 pics on this computer from various people for various reasons. Some are archived as I thought I might learn something from the style or work in general, such as Howard's "How do Draw" series. Some are there because I thought they were to cute to pass up. Some are there because I thought they were funny. Others are there because I know the artist. A few are there because they were sent as a personal gift (none of which I have posted, as by the term "gift" and "personal").

As none of us live in Japan, afar is what we must settle for. My posting is helping a lot? And yes, I do censor a bit, although I personally hate the notion. Not my board, not my rules, so try to work within the bounds and share what can be shared reasonably. Better than nothing you bet. This said, there are many pics from many people that while great, I have no way or right to post here. Thus, you miss out and that bugs me. You are, in a word, S.O.L. as far as Comet's work goes as you can't even buy it. If you wish to use other avenues besides this board I will do what I can. I don't see why you must live in the darkness shed by closed eyes. Oh ya, sorry. No luck on the amphibs. He has a lot of strange creatures that I can't even identify if that helps.

I'd really love to see it And maybe your favorite artist too? XD Well, for one thing or another you did 'open' my eyes about Comet's whereabouts.... I've never seen him until you bring his pic here. You only collect furries?

Always e-mail, yah, that sounds right. Let's see *check profile* your e-mail is hidden, so it looks like we have a snag. Other faves? I can go on and on there, quite a fine group. Open your eyes to Comet? English is not your first language is it? In English the term is "corrupt" or perhaps "taint" or "infect". This place is the first you seen of him? Sounds right, not all of Comet's work should be "easy" to find. Me collect only furries? How interesting you know that term, as does Carranza. I do collect a very large amount of such pics yes, and you can blame Bucky's show, and most of all, Jenny. I basically set out to find more like material once the show ended and found myself in this area of art. In general, I tend to collect ANYTHING if find either funny/very well drawn/very cute/meaningful/I can learn from. I tend to lean to furry work, as it is called, because of the vast variety, horns, claws, fangs, wings, fur colours and patterns, and more tails than anywhere else. Its just wonderfully diverse. I have also always admired animals, I figure we got shafted when traits were handed out. Animals also influenced my education (very heavy life sciences, such as molecular genetics).

Yeah,my english is bad. XD Isn't misunderstanding a jolly sometimes? ;D But that isn't entirely wrong either. Well, I've changed the profile already. If you'd be kind, I'd like to request just one art from Comet. Can't ruin his business too,... long live furries... I've always been more fascinated in animals....

No, you are not wrong, but I can poke a bit of fun, can't I?
So, you got your email up and want a whole, single, lonely, solitary piece of Comet's work that has not been posted here? Its nice of you to only ask for a little, but come on, lets be honest. There is little chance that sending you more than one pic is going to bring ruin to Comet's business, as its not likely you will find yourself in a situation where you could buy them anyway thanks to where you live.
"Yep. Besides, so long as I don't click, I won't see it. I've seen worse, and besides, as a fellow artist, I'm getting used to things like that.... or so I think, anyway.... It'll be my struggle ."
You've seen WORSE? Comet can't send his CD to some parts of the world because of content, and you've seen worse? Dare I ask what sewers you've been slogging your mind through, Powree? Do I even want to know? Well, whatever I guess. Just be sure you too are careful about who you might give the way to The Island to.
I will try and browse my collection and select a number of pics that are in the flavour of "cute" and many actual sketch-work of his for you. As for work of other artists and favourites? I will try to get some of those packaged up too. I think in the next while you will become familiar with the name, Dark Natasha. I have a sweet pic here, of a lynx gal with a rather huge sabre-tooth tiger at her side that I would love to post as show and tell. Alas, its not suitable for posting here due to bear breasts...again. Anyway, maybe I will find another one that could be posted here, but see my way to send you this pic in the meanwhile ;D
Edit: Hush, I think its slated for sometime in Jan, just hold on a bit more and hope its not pushed back again.

Alright, I sent you a sample of Natasha's work for you to have a looky. Natasha is one of my top fave (as she is with many people, actually) artists in the genera. I have not said anything about her before, as what is there to say. She not only does cute well enough, she does detailed and almost realistic work. After coming to know her work, my words fail to do it justice. Most of what I posed thusfar has been as example of style or Krystal related. About the only things I learn from Natasha's work are 1) Dyam I love it 2) I can't learn a thing from any of it as I don't use paint. Maybe it will be of use to you, Powree, or maybe you are doomed to drool at your screen like Hush. For the rest of you who come to visit, its really not fair to tease you like this, so I should post something. Here is something you don't see from Comet, a male: If you like this piece, I urge you to visit her site at www.furnation.com/DarkNatasha/ and perhaps show some support by scoring a print or two or all. Ohhhhhh Powreeeeeeee? What is the data limit on your email account, I got my message rejected because it was to big ^ ^. Maybe I will try again, but smaller this time.
