Well, in the game, three things can happen to our boy Nicholai (technically four):
1. This is the ending I think most people are familiar with, whereupon Nicholai is kacked by Nemesis while he's trying to shoot Jill. I think this version of Nicholai's ending only comes about if you shove Nemesis off the bridge rather than jumping off yourself (I could be wrong though, as it's been a while since I played the game). This is also the ending used in S.D. Perry's novelization of the game.
2. In order to get anything other than Nicholai being killed by Nemesis, I think you have to jump off the bridge instead of pushing Nemesis off (but again, I could be mixing them up). In this version, Nicholai swipes the helicopter Jill and Carlos intended to escape in, and he appears outside of the control tower where Jill first is alerted to the fact a missile is headed towards the city. Here, you're given two choices: either you blast Nicholai's helicopter out of the sky, or you try and convince him to take you with him.
Choosing to shoot him can result in one or two things: either you hit him and blow his 'copter to smithereens and him with it, or you miss and he escapes. Choosing to try and make a deal with him only results in him blowing you off and flying away.

-_- who do you think the main character of RE 5 will be? I'm hoping it's Chris or Hunk. Hush Mazmanos Most likely its a new character sadly, because now I've abolished my theory on it being Chris since he doesn't keep the knife on the back of his shoulder (although this could be something CAPCOM over looked). All I hope is that he's connected somehow to the Racoon city, eg. STARS Member.

Hey, I liked Bruce McGivern. A lot more than Leon S. Kennedy, anyway. And Razgiz, yes, Nemesis was beaten in hand to hand combat in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, but by Alice, who was not a normal human. She was part of the Nemesis Program, too. In short, he was going up against a person of comparable speed and strength, so it was a fair fight and there's nothing "sad" about it, unless you take into account the fact Nemesis used to be Alice's friend Matt from the first movie. As for Resident Evil 4, I've yet to play it but I'm glad we're finally leaving Raccoon City and Umbrella behind. I was getting sick of how omnipotent Umbrella was. Leon Kennedy the best! Yeah I guess your right there, but I did expect a lot more from him, seeing how much of a big character he is in the RE series Dude, you gotta play it, it was the way Rsident Evil was meant to be played!. But Umbrella is present in this game, only in another form

Oh yeah and if you want to see Wesker in a formal suit, play this game, finish it, and play the minigame

If I remember correctly, due to your choices in Nemesis you can try to shoot down Nicholai in a helicopter or not. If you don't get this, you get the part where he gets dragged into the ceiling. I forgot what choices influenced these parts, though.
Anyways, my personal favorite RE character is Ark Thompson. Amnesia be damned, I still think he's pretty cool.
I personally liked the new modes added to the PS2 version of this game. Very cool.
Last but not least, I'm pretty sure that Chris is the main character of 5. I've seen screenshots, but I'm not 100 percent sure. I'm personally waiting for the Resident Evil DS game.
P.S.: I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has read the S.D. Perry novelizations. Hooray.

The Ending of Code Veronica kind of gave me a feeling it would be Chris...But shockingly this game willbe more like dawn of the dead now since the zombies run. Bring on the stress!! XD

I still do think its Chris, I mean 2 year after racoon city is Code Veronica and 6 years is RE4. So Chris has had 4 years of no action, so who knows how he would look in his next game, so its probably him. And the knife thing i said earlier, I abolished that since that could've change over the years too. And beside, we haven't seen any RE character in HIGH DEF so maybe they changed Chris' look for PS3, just like how PS2Leon doesn't look much like PS1 leon

Yeah....... the zombies swing their arm!!! Hhaha. But I think that this is due to the possibility that Umbrella has perfected the zombies already by this time. I mean, the raccoon city incident, the zombies were just failed experiments (or something like that) since Umbrellas purpose is to make super weapons. So probably they learned from the mistake from Racoon City and perfected the flesh muching dudes and put them in Tokyo for RE 5.

Guys ckeck this out it might unveal some things about the character in RE 5 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HUNKThere are things there that I found suspicious like "HUNK's whereabouts after Umbrella's shutdown by government are unknown, although it is believed he presently works as a MERCENARY FOR HIRE." Plus there is a clear picture of him unmasked in here

P.S.: I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has read the S.D. Perry novelizations. Hooray. They're all right. I've read them all except for Underworld and Zero Hour. They exist in a completely different continuity from the games however, just as the film novelizations by Keith R.A. DeCandido exist in a separate continuity from the movies (due mostly to the fact many characters are called by different names in the novels than the are in the films). My favorite is the first book, The Umbrella Conspiracy, although after that Perry's writing style began to rub me the wrong way. Namely, her fixation on Rebecca Chambers, a truly lame character (at least in the sense that at the time the books were written Resident Evil Zero had not come out, so Perry's obsession with Rebecca is puzzling), not to mention her outright ignorance of most of the simple, obvious facts in the games and/or their various supplementary material. For instance, calling Tyrell Patrick in Nemesis "Ken Franklin" was unforgivable, as was not including Robert Kendo in City of the Dead. Kendo was always my favorite NPC in Resident Evil 2 even though he never really did anything, and seeing him get constantly overlooked really annoys me. I also really, really disliked the character of Trent - at least at first. He seemed a real cheat, a Deep Throat-esque character who appears from the shadows without warning and provides the main characters with cryptic information and whatnot, thereby making the good guys' eventual triumph a lot less, well, triumphant knowing they had outside help from this goofball. However, when in - I think - either Nemesis or Code: Veronica we finally learn about Trent's past, that he is actually a member of Umbrella's board of directors and is working against them, he become a much more interesting character. I also liked the zombies who use guns in Caliban Cove, as well as how creepy Perry made Chief Irons in City of the Dead. His scene with the body of Mayor Harris' daughter Beverly is pretty dang creepy (although I believe that Resident Evil 3 actually reveals the name of Raccoon City's mayor is actually Warren, not Harris). And for what it's worth, it was through the novels that I learned quite a lot of background info that turned out to be true when compared to the games as of recently: namely, the fact that the mansion in the first game is known as the Spencer Estate and is named after Lord Spencer, who currently controls (controlled?) Umbrella.

Well, my sister's boyfriend had Resident Evil 4 so I decided to play it. Was it good? Yes. Was it the best RE game so far? Not really. The woodland setting was a welcome change from the urban scenery in the previous games, it's nice to see that Leon has matured, and the new monsters such as El Gigante and Del Lago were interesting. Ashley Graham was nowhere near as annoying as Sherry Birkin, at least during the actual gameplay.
But, I have some nitpicks, as well. For starters, Osmund Saddler was a pretty boring villain. Ramon Salazar and Bitores Mendez were just laughably over-the-top, particularly Salazar in his little three-cornered hat and Colonial-era garb.
I hated the arms salesman guy (Crocodile Dundee, as I called him), and I was rolling my eyes at the fact the government sends a grand total of three guys to rescue President Graham's daughter - two of whom are just there to give Leon someone to avenge when the townspeople kill them (and since they had no spoken names, I referred to Leon's police officer pals as Heckle and Jekyll).

What? You didn't find RE 4 the best game ever?... Well everyon hasd an opinion XD. Just wondering what made you come to that conclusion. If you mean matured as in being sarcastically funny and more kickbutt than any STARS member as far gameplay is concerned, then yes he has matured XD. Well Ashley did annoy me with her constant "Leeeeeooon!!!! Heeeeeelp!!" when she would get captured. *cleans ears to make sure his hearing is alright*. But she does help out a little, giving hints on how to kill things.
Yeah the main bosses didn't excite me that much except for Krauser of course, he's the best XD.
The salesman is definitely a new thing to Capcom, or at least RE. So I dont really have a simple way of connecting a possesed setting and a guy who wants to sell stuff myself. But I liked how he always says stranger a lot at the end of his sentences "NOT ENOUGH CASH!!!!! stranger" XD. Well actually the US govt sent one guy, Leon, the two guys were sent by the Spanish. But yeah I also found it absurd but also kinda cool that only Leon was sent to a dangerous mission (technically only Leon went on the mission since it was a US mission)
Anyway, you finished it already? What was your time? XD I'm a very competitive dude hahaha
