Welcome back, Drake.
As you've been away for so long, let me fill you in on what's happened with Dr. Watt.
The 7 Deadly Sinners have learnt that Purgatori, a woman who is evil incarnate, has returned to the Aniverse to wipe them out.
With Watt still on board, the Sinners, together with Fang, Raven and Captain Kremmens' crew, have landed on Toxus II to retrieve a plant that can kill Purgatori.
While Fang, Raven, the Sinners, Kremmen and Carla return to Blunderbird 2 (a spaceship they confiscated), Dr. Watt has been left on Toxus II with the rest of Kremmens' lot in the Troll-1.

I'd love to continue with Watts, but unforuntly its way too far ahead for me to try and jump back in. If you wanna take him over, thats fine. Really, I've missed far too much to really be able to hop back in that storyline.

You know, it's always possible that once the RPG reaches a certain point we can merely stop, wipe the slate clean, and start over. It's what we did in the SWAT Kats RPG I used to be in.

We could do that, but I'd hate to be the cause of people losing a whole year worth of stuff. Then again, if no one else minds, I'm open to a complete wipe and start over.

Maybe if we actually wanted to change something about the way it works. It doesn't seem worth a restart if things carry on as before. Have actual plot ideas ahead of time instead of just things happening, or something.
The whole consensual combat thing strikes me as something of a weak point.

The major drawback to that through is the amount of time and pressure being put to try and moderate a single storyline, let alone trying to connect them. Right now, it all but impossible to connect any of the plots. We got toad spies, supernatual creatures, some characters wandering off to do the nasty. Not saying anythings wrong with them, but none of them really seem to have anything to do with each other. Right now, we got character A, character Z, character J, and character F off on a planet. While character J is off doing something with character F, not far away A and Z are doing something, but the complete oppisite and with no acknoledge of the other. Also, I know how much of a lot of you love to rp, but theres far too many characters being played by the same person. Not only does this make it difficult for most players to keep track of whats going on where, it also divides the person with multi characters attention. Now, if we do reset everything to zero, then I have a few suggestions. First off, much as there might be some complaining, maybe limit the number of characters an account can have. Two at most sounds good, possibly three. This would allow the most chance for varity if you want it, but not too many characters you'd need cliff notes for. Also, not allowing two characters played by the same person in a room. This should encourage players to seek out other people to rp with, rather then setting up a scene and playing with yourself. It should also clear up confusion as to who the person is talking to. As to combat, thats more difficult. Consent is difficult, but its even harder to moderate it fairly. Don't have any real suggestions on that, unforuntly. Perhaps a dice program that can only be used by the mods? Anyways, my small change tossed in about the rp stuff. Typed more then what I was planning, and more then likely none of will make too much sense.

I think that the limit could be one character per thread, rather than any sort of absolute limit. Or one main character plus retinue, anyway. This might allow the sort of supernatural character I detest soo much, since their storylines would never overlap with the more in genre characters. I was thinking of having an extremely simplified paper type RP stat for each chaacter and have one player do the NPC's and die rolls. I even found a die website a while back.

That sounds good. The basic three: Physical, Mental and Social. Perhaps use a precentile for the successes/failures? 1-24 extreme fail, 25-50 fail, 26-75 success, and 76-100 extreme success. So on and so...
Or, if we wanna do the whole contesting thing, say we go like this: A has a Physical of 4 and B has a physical of 6. "A" tries to punch "B", so "A" must get a six or higher to connect. "B" would roll his Physical to avoid it, and would need higher then 4 to dodge. Add in a couple modifers if wanted.
Suggestions?

For an idea of what I was going to suggest, look here. I was imagining a simple success/failure type thing, D6 with a modifier.
