I read the Wiki entry before I asked. I was hoping for something a little clearer. Am I to understand that this would involve us getting hold of a program to create simple animations?

Actually I'm rather new to it as well. The first one I tried was the Shi Painter. I think it's a java thing (applet perhaps) that allows us to paint/draw online. Kind of like Photoshop, but simplified for drawing only... The animation, I presume, is more like a system that records when someone draws on the program. This allow others to view how the artist work from start to finish.
