I'm pretty sure that the Bucky O'Hare comic book in the UK was not published by Continuity and was not the work of Larry Hama and Michael Golden. Anyone who has any copies, can you tell me what company published it and who the creative team was? Thanks!

Allow me! (Only just got round to registering) The UK comic was published by D.C.Thomson & Co. Ltd., a Scottish publishing company who make the legendary British comic The Beano; their largest publisher is in Fleet Street, London (which is where this was made) and their Head Offices are in Dundee. They acknowledge Bucky O'Hare as copyright of Continuity Graphics Associates, although it looks as though they had no direct affiliation with them during the comic's tenure. I extracted this detail from my recently discovered copy of Issue 15 that my little drawing was printed in. There's no indication of a particular creative team, or even artist names, unfortunately; they were clearly just classed as the "Bucky O'Hare Comic" team. If you like I can scan some pages of this and send them to you... hope this is of some help!

Well, Jean, I think Rygar may be planning to put the scans up on the site after I emailed him a few at the weekend, so there'll probably be "public access" to them. I don't have them at my current location to re-scan, so it may be easier to wait until they're put up here. But it's good to see a bit of enthusiasm for it. As I discussed with Rygar, the artistry isn't exactly spellbinding, but the stories - slightly adapted from the TV series to great effect - are eminently readable. For a start, Pitstop Pete actually talks. Revelation.

Hey what's up with getting the comic online? I've been getting some off ebay, and it's great! But I'm missing a number of issues. Do any UK fans have a near complete run of the comic? It's be great to get it online. Although the first 6 are reprints of the CC Bucky, the comic follows the TV show after that, adding to the stories on the show. For instance, the episode "War of the Wartz" is significantly added to, with some extra action when the Toad Slave ship, escorted by the RI are trying to land on Genus. The satelites are causing static interferance, so the RI must protect the Slave Ship from the Genus Defense Satelites. In "Fistful of Simoleans" it's pretty cool cause it developes how truly sleazy and cheap Al Negator is. I'll do my best to get scans of Issues 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, and an issue with no cover. It has Mimi defending a supply satelite or something from Toadborg. But if any UK fans could get scans of Issues 7, 11, 12, 15+, that would be great for ALL of the Bucky fans across the Universe, AND Aniverse!

Hey what's up with getting the comic online? I've been getting some off ebay, and it's great! Ah, so *you're* the one who keeps outbidding me! Yeah, I've got 1-10, in relatively decent shape. If I ever find the disk space (possible) and the time (highly doubtful for a while), I'll try to get them scanned. -Rygar

Ah, so you managed to get hold of some copies then, Rygar? Great stuff! Well, I still have Issue 15 carefully wrapped upstairs (it's a little old, just trying to preserve really) and will be happy to send scans to people if they let me know they want them. Hopefully one day I'll manage to find the rest that appear to have eluded my exhaustive search.... I know I wouldn't have thrown them out, I've never been so liberal with old stuff... will keep all informed.

Hey y'all your favorite visitor is back! I've been caught up in about a lot of play on the Bucky game on the NES - and I think I'll need it today because it's Friday 13 and rabbits' feet are considered lucky! Hehehe... Anyway, I only had issues 10 through 20 when Bucky first came out here in the UK, since I was only 7 and getting used to who's who and what's what. I ended up cutting out the pictures of Deadeye and making my own little comic strips about him! Shame I don't have those strips because I'd certainly scan them if I did! I now only have issue 2, which I won on Ebay last year - and yes please send me some scans too! My Email is Cyber Peahen@aol.com
