You can count me in! ;D
As for Lent, I've decided to give up chocolate. Risky, I know, but I want to see if it's the chocolate that's giving my teeth horrible stains.

Yes. Can't let those theistic types have all the good food. I eat mine with lemon.

I knew this thread would catch a spot of attention. And yes Wild Goose you're most welcome ;D
I've had a few pancakes with the family, unfortunately when my mom tossed one, half of it landed in the pan while the other half landed on the floor! How annoying...
My family doesn't believe in Lent (in general of course, not just because... well, I'd react with RI if I was forced to go through with it!), though. My Grandma used to mark it (she was born when it was 'hip'/'sociable' to be religious and of course 'anti-social' to be otherwise) but she doesn't anymore

well changes can be good or bad! My family isn't strictly religious but with the aforementioned exceptions we celebrate most Christian holidays, and (other than, of course, when my brother and I were in our deeply Christian schools and we'd go for Religious Education and/or annual services) the only times we go to Church are to attend weddings and Baptisms/Christenings, or if we visit them as part of a tour. I wouldn't want my wedding in a Church though, not just because I am non-religious but also I have my own ideal wedding in mind (you reading, Mad Cat?). Now should I walk down the long path out of a magnificent palace (like in my fan fiction!), have my wedding in a Greek ruin or [C] have a Shinto wedding in Japan or China? ;D
Oh and Norris, since you're giving up chocolate for Lent you might want to avoid going anywhere near La Casa de Farrell this weekend. My family is holding a small party and we got plenty of chocolate coins on the dessert menu ;D
Also, I understand your concerns about the chocolate possibly staining your teeth, but I brush every day and my teeth have caught yet another nasty infection...

I now have one hygienist visit and one dentist visit a year, and haven't had any trouble since switching to an electric toothbrush.
Now I think about it, I don't eat pancakes at any other time of the year. How about everyone else?
