I've been looking to make some fanfiction for a long time now for X-MEN and Harry Potter. I've got tons of great ideas in my head that I would want to put into writing. In fact I've already wrote down some of them. But here's the problem. The idea is great, but the way I narrate the scene strays away from the emotion/mood of the idea. In other words, I can't seem to describe the scenes and emotions well enough to suit the hype of the idea I have. In short my narrrating sucks. If anyone has any tips for me to solve my problem, it would be much appreciated.

Post a bit here and I'll see what I can offer. Or, if you're uncomfortable with a public posting, you can PM me on this board.
Thanks.

First think about the area the scene its set to be, as for emotions ....well you can use expiriences that happen in your life , like sadness, love and hatred, combining those are always hard , so you must be thoughtful when those emotions come into place, like for example when Harry faced Voldemort on Goblet of Fire ,what did you notice on Voldemort's face and on Harry's face or in X-men , whenever wolverine goes loco on everyone?

I'm afraid I can't be of much help unless you're writing a comedy. It also depends whether you're writing the fanfics as ordinary stories or in script format. Either way, I can only give tips for the funny-ha-ha variety.

Sorry for the late reply just been busy hahaa Anyway, I'm going to be taking Claudia's advice and I'll post a bit of my work here. But it might be a while before I can post. I'm currently working on my band's songs. We plan to make 5 songs and then record it to make our EP. So it might be a few days before I can post. I'm just finishing up my parts in the song then I'm done there. But anyway, as you know I am planning to make a Harry Potter fic. But the fic will involve original characters, around 6 main to be exact. So I might need tips as well in character development. Plus I need tips as well on analysis on existing characters. I don't know what to look for in a character to get his/her personality. This is crucial to me because my fic is going to be very long. My idea is that I'm gonna write about stuff that happened in Hogwarts that Harry wasn't aware of. In other words, I'm going to be writing the Harry Potter story in the point of view of other students, so the story could either involve Harry or not. And when I mean the Harry Potter story, I mean from book 1-7. So, yes, I need as much help in this as I can since my writing experience reaches only as far as English Class requirements in school. So if anyone can give me tips in character development and analysis, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Harry Potter spoof I wrote for some friends a while ago, Dahaka. I could always e-mail it to you if you'd like some ideas.
