The thingypit censoring happened to me. Eventually I had to give it up and just wrote 'seat'. T_T

I suggest 'bridge' or 'command'.

Unfortunately, it was a one-man ship. More like a fighter, I take it. So 'bridge' seemed somewhat inappropriate...

I get that a lot too, but I just say thingypit anyway.

How about 'control module'?

Bleh, I think the profanity filter should be modified to allow words like c-o-c-kpit and a-s-sociates, etc., and only filter out c-o-c-k and a-s-s when they're by their lonesome. Is it possible to do that?

This forum is pretty much unmoderated. Why not just trust posters not to write inappropriately?

I assume that might be because of posters such as Ensign Yanky will use the MB simply to throw curses at other members. That's my hunch, anyway.

Perhaps, but a disruptive poster could just post a load of rubbish that was just as annoying.

Yeah, I see it the same way, myself.

Indeed, and to save the bother of deleting every post, the moderators simply use censorship on the MB.

The point I was making was that swearing in moderation doesn't bother me. If not used in moderation it wouldn't bother me more than someone writing 'stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat stoat', and the fact that that is annoying doesn't make me want to censor the word stoat. Besides, if the filter doesn't let c o c k p i t through then it isn't a good filter.

LOL about the 'stoat' thing Brian! I got a censoring thing the other week too when I posted about asking you guys to pray for my cat Jenny.
By the way, if anyone's about to ask, Jenny's doing fine and yes she still sleeps a lot but we're thinking of getting another cat this Summer. I'll post further details in the 'Pray for my cat Jenny' thread, in case anyone wants to hear more!

I think that w r i s t w a t c h may be even more annoying, since there isn't anything you could use instead.
