"The shipping corporations have their own pilots for the cargo carriers themselves. CMSS pilots end up just be ferrying fuel or nudging asteroids."
He makes a note.
"I think I've heard everything that I need to. The only thing left is for you to meet your potential bosun. Now, who was it again...? Ah, here we are, Bosun Elizabeth. Ever worked with a Rigelian before?"

"No? Brief primer then. Only species in the Aniverse routinely referred to by their planet of origin, rather than their biological name. Boars. Used to rule most of what is now the UAC, and were among its founder members. Their society is theoretically egalitarian but in practise the aristocrats run the show. Their homeworld -Rigel Prime- is rich, and the single largest shipyard in the UAC. And, most importantly, they've been fighting the pirate clans for about six hundred years. They really can’t stand the idea of a social order based on theft."

"Not muscle. More like financial backers. Several of our largest shareholders are Rigellian owned businesses. They put in... well, too much money for it to be a purely business venture. And they are our best clients."

"No, it’s more... how to explain it..?"
He looks around, seeking answers from the walls.
"Bosun Elizabeth is the most dedicated security officer we employ. Not the most able -not yet- but intelligent and ferocious. The difficulty is this: I view the CMSS as a business. We take money in exchange for providing protection. Legal mercenaries, if you will. She views the CMSS as a privately funded antipiracy organisation, its scope limited only by the impracticality of offensive action. She would like to see it become practical."

"I see, Legal Mercs , huh? I like the sound of that.
*An unusual cell phone tune rings in the room, Arius grabs his phone and turns it off*
"My little sister is getting impatient, she has been waiting for me to call her back...she probably wants me to buy her some food"
*laughs*

"Its nice to see a young man who takes his family responsibilities seriously enough to leave his comm on during a job interview. Anyway, I think we're finished here. You should speak to Elizabeth, and you've still got your weapon proficiency test to do before you leave. For my part I'll say that I think you would fit in well here."
He stands and offers you his hand.

"I don't know where Bosun Elizabeth is at the moment. You'd best try asking at reception."

"Thank you, see you around then Boss"
Arius opens the the door and closes it shut as he leaves the room with a smile.
"O.K. now i have to go the receptionist"
Arius walks around the hall and sees something strange on the floor. He picks it up and stares at it for a while.
"Nah....it couldn't be what i think it is"
Arius drops the small fragment of stone in a garbage can and continues on towards the receptionist.

You walk in through the main doorway into the lobby of the Courtbourne Mercantile Security Solutions headquarters. It is a large open room about 15 meters square, decorated with bland corporate art. The floor tiles have the company logo embossed on them. They look recently washed. There is a reception desk in the centre. It is manned by a marmot and two squirrels.

Arius goes towards the desk and asks the marmot, a bit nervous.
Arius: excuse me, but...uh... can you tell me where i can find Bosun Elizabeth?
