Correct, there are writers who concentrate on other sides of the Toad Wars beside Bucky, at which Kinjite is a good example. There's another path to follow if you don't feel comfortable about writing Bucky. For me it was the other way around. I tried writing about Chuck Bodgers, but couldn't make him focus around the Aniverse. So, I carried on writing Bucky, while writing pen-and-paper stories of Chuck Bodgers in his own right and placing him in his own environment. I could give you a sample if you like.

Yes Please!
And yes writing for established characters can be very hard as you have to keep within a framework not set by you.

Well, I'll try my best. It is the year 2704 in the 28th Century, and Chuck Bodgers is a Captain for the United Space Coalition (USC), a large space fleet shared between Earth, Venus & Mars to rebuild society shortly after WW3. The USC is run by Dr. Samuel Thomas Royd, supposedly the most intelligent astronomer on Earth. Bodgers in the pilot of Spaceship 8, Faithful, and has as his co-pilot, Prescott William "The Space Scout" DuWitt. On Mars, King Wilberforce II invites Bodgers to a conference, but Wilberforces' ruthless daughter, Princess Arthuce V, wants the cargo of Vesivium 9 explosive on Bodgers' ship to blackmail the USC into surrendering Planet Venus to her (As Venus & Mars were once bitter rivals). Needless to say, she fails. There's more on Chuck Bodgers at www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2. Just type Chuck Bodgers in the Search Engine.

I just want to say thanks for the advice, it made me feel better but I still kind of feel the writing bug in me. Anyway, my story is "The Shadow of a Hero, The Betrayal of a Loved One" by me of course, read it and tell me how much you hated it OK?
Dahaka, the guy who still gets writing nervuosness

Hush is right. Writing can eventually become a hobby once you finish a second or third story. There's no need to feel sorry for yourself all the time, it may distract your writing. If you feel confdent to write stories for strangers, then I'm certain that you could have enough confidence to do anything.
I'm just waffling here, so just ignore me.

I guess your right. I should be more confident in myself. It bothered me a lot while writing part 1. A voice in my head kept saying "What will people think of this?". It made me think about stopping. But I just remembered my life quote: "What is the meaning of impossible? It is the limit of your strength. Once something becomes impossibles, you have reached your limit. Only those who persevere stand out to do the impossible.". After that I got writing again. I guess all I need was to believe I can do it

Writing clings onto you after a short time. I wasn't too comfortable with writing when I started, but I got into it and now I'm writing novels for the BBC website!

You write novels? You must be real good in writing.
I'm slowly getting clinged to writing. Day and night, I can't stop thinking of the next parts of my story. I'd go to sleep 10:30 just because I would be thinking. It gets inthe way of my studies sometimes hehe.
PS I'll send my next story somewhere around next month.
