They made Willy one of the top 10 worst kid sidekicks? How, ahem, croakably mean! Anyone mind if I pretend the author is a random enemy on the BOH NES game? I say the NES game because Willy is playable in it - in fact he's the second one I rescue on the four Planets (we all know who the first one is LOL) I do quite like Harry Grimoire though. Shame how the Darkstalkers cartoon never came out in the UK, I'd love to see it. Maybe good ol' Capcom should do a DVD-inclusive Darkstalkers gift pack or something, like the Mega Man one I had nearly five years ago (it included a DVD with the first three episodes of the MM cartoon)?

I fail to see how Willy was an annoying sidekick. He fought, he never whined, he saved the day on more than 1 occasion, and he held a part time job as Bucky's Engineer while still going to school. Let's see any other show's "kid sidekick" be as important or as responsible.

My adoration of BOH and resulting bitterness over Willy being included in a 'worst of' list aside... Tom Cat said so himself, for the reasons he mentioned he fails to see how Willy is an 'annoying sidekick'! Go Mr DuWitt *waves SPACE flag* ! Although I'm stuck for choice as to which enemy I should pretend is the author (but no I will not pretend one of the brainwashed crew [on the Cell stage] is he/she). I'm willing to take votes ;D

Yeah Willy doesn't really need to be on this this, I'm sure there are others much more deserving...The author seems to have a dislike for the shows themselves rather than just the kid sidekicks.

They're not sidekicks, they're henchmen.

They're not sidekicks, they're henchmen. henchmen get paid and have some value. they do task and chores that the villain of the story doesn't want to. all Frix and Frax do is watch toad tv all day and act as yes men to the air Marshall. they fit more with sidekicks than henchmen. The air marshall himself would be a henchmen to toadborg since he actually DOES something other than watch toad tv.

Frix and Frax may suck at their job most of the time but they fit the criteria for two definitions of the word "henchman."
Firstly, one definition of henchman is a trusted adviser or confidant. And what do Frix and Frax serve as? The Air Marshall's advisers and confidants (if not his trusted ones). This would technically make anyone who assists anyone in an advisory manner a henchman, but due to the negative connotations of the word, henchman has become a catch-all term for people that work for villains, regardless of the person's worth, status or ability.
And secondly, as mentioned, they work for a villain. Or villains if we include Komplex and Toadborg.
And anyway they aren't nearly as useless as most people make them out to be. They've overseen tortures, participated in gunfights, occasionally been more levelheaded than the Air Marshall himself, and briefly replaced him, as well. They may do little more than watch Toad TV, but it isn't all they do. ;D

Komplex wanted to proove to Air Marshal that any idiot could do his job even Frix and Frax which means even Komplex thought they were completely useless. If you asked them to do something like Al Negator or Toadborg would/could do they would mess it up completely (as they did with the simple task of mining the crystals using the slaves).

Their idea of torture... subject mammals to toad tv, That was implied to be standard practice. The torture chamber was even specifically set up so as to make the mammals experience Toad TV in VR. And it worked. Mimi, Larry and Bob were in agony. idea of a gunfight... from the control room that receives toad tv, In On the Blink they accompanied the Air Marshall and Al into the studio with maser pistols and exchanged fire with the mammals. Frix even took Bruiser out of the fight. He shot a light that fell and landed near him, and Bruiser fell down the hole it created. In the same episode they personally went out and recaptured Quentin without any assistance. Granted he was unarmed, but still. why so level headed... they are not thinking about the current fight/situation they are thinking about toad tv In The Warriors, Frix warned the Air Marshall about using the double helix formation. He and Frax could see the disaster coming a mile away, but the Air Marshall didn't listen to them. He was too concerned about his medal. Komplex replacing him with them was probably because they'd (correctly) advised him against the maneuver. They're couch potatoes most of the time but they aren't totally useless. They have their moments. ;D
