Vernita peeked her head out of the toad ship and saw the Air Marshal and his subordinates. The very idea that she was mere feet away from him was completely surreal... And a little terrifying.

"All we need is somewhere to rest for the moment...if that is alright with you, sir," the Toad quickly corrected himself; partially out of the Air Marshals' temper, and partially out of his brainwashing.

"Of course it's all right!" the Air Marshall snapped, gesturing with his swagger stick. "Do you think I would've let your worthless carcasses on my Mothership if it wasn't?!"

Vernita stood up suddenly, realizing if she was going to do this she would have to go all in... And what better chance to score points with the boss than with the first impression.
Removing her tinted eye visor completely and unzipping her black jumpsuit just far enough to reveal some green, furry cleavage, she removed herself from the ship and approached no further than the pilot that flew her in. Managing the firmest salute she could, she looked upon the air marshal with intensity, addressing him with her best "stern voice".
"Air Marshall, sir. Vernita Lapis. It is an honor to meet you, Honored Sir."

"What? Huh?" said the Air Marshall, momentarily confused about who Vernita was. But then he remembered, and composed himself, standing up a bit straighter and folding his arms behind his back, clearing his throat. "Oh, oh, oh, yes, uh, welcome to the winning team, Miss Lapis. My, my, if even my best Stormtoads were so disciplined."
"Wow," said Frax, eyeing Vernita. He was promptly slapped upside the head by Frix who proceeded to whisper something angrily to him about not ogling mammals. The Air Marshall turn and slapped both of them across their knees with his swagger stick. "Yeow!" the both said, hopping up and down.
"Quiet!" the Air Marshall said.

The Toad simply stood by and watched everything, grinning slightly when the Air Marshal thumped his colleagues.

Vernita cleared her throat, remaining at attention before the Air Marshall.

A small ship, about the size of a pod drifts outside the Toad warship, its fuel empty. A lone figure sits inside contemplating their next move. A sigh escaped their lips through the mask on the figure's face as they pressed a button, signaling a distress call.
