"Those who were strong enough to get out with me had either become used to living inside the towers, or had gone insane." Lt. America said quietly, rubbing his shield with the one hand.
"There are no locks," he mumbled when Nick had finished. "When I say he sealed us in, I mean it. The doors leading outside had been sealed up with solid concrete, including the fire escapes. The air conditioning and sewers are hardly big enough for a mouse."

NIck looked at Din and nodded.
"Go ahead and do your stuff. I won't tell Charlene." He said quietly as he gently pulled Emily back.
He looked at Lt. America.
"You might want to take cover, he gets violent." NIck warned.
Din turned to the slab and green flames rapped around his body. His muscles seemed to swell and his overall size seemed to almost double. WIth acry of rage, he lunged at eh slab and they both vanished in an explosion of dust and debris.

With a loud roar, almost liek a Terror Toad, Din ripped the chunk of wall out and flung it aside. The chunk shot off like a rocket and smashed into another wall, forming a crack. He stepped back panting heavily, to clear the walkway to the newly made door.
Nick glanced over his shoulder to emily.
"See why i suggested hiring him?" Nick asked smiling.
Lt. America looked at the crack and gestured for the others to follow him inside.
The "lobby" consisted of damp red carpet, now a hazy-brown from the rubble. Light streamed in through the door and windows, but there was no form of artificial lighting. However, there was also a stairway that led to the upper-floors, and two plain doors for the toilets.
"Wait until you see what its' done to the heroes," Lt. America muttered, and led them up the stairway to the first floor. On the first floor were several rooms fashioned like offices that were almost empty said for several bunk-beds per room. Lt. America led them to the one room, where there were four superheroes lying dead, and a fifth who was chuckling insanely to herself in the corner.
"That was Turnip Lantern," Lt. America gestured to one of the dead bodies. "Along with Carrot Fly, Marrow Man and Captain Cauliflower, they were the Vegilantes. All of them dead because the UAC didn't provide them with soil for them to take root in,"
He gestured to the insane heroine. "That used to be Whistle Woman, only now I don't think even she knows who she is."
